Hello:
Forgive
me for not knowing your name. That's how life is sometimes. We just,
sort of, walk by each other and never take time to say, "hello"
or to smile and say "have a nice day."
We
seldom think of others outside of our own skins or our own family,
others who literally suffer each and every day from a variety of
problems, most caused by poverty and almost all driven by hunger.
Hungry
children
Remember
when you were a child? You had hopes and dreams. You laughed and
played and someone (hopefully) was there to care for you, to hug
you and to love you. You looked forward to each and everyday of
life with hope and happiness.
Well,
everyday--all around the world, probably in your own country--there
are children who are suffering, struggling to survive another day.
Their bellies are empty and swollen from starvation, they have no
one to take care of them. Some turn to acts of unspeakable desperation
believing that there is no other way. Thankfully, there is another
way.
Strangers
who they may never meet are blessing them with HOPE.
It's
amazing what a person can do with a bit of hope. Where there is
hope, there is life and a will to survive.
You
might not be able to help physically or even financially and I totally
respect that... However, let me ask you this, if you could help,
would you?
Maybe
there are other ways. You don't have to be a celebrity with pockets
full of money to make a difference. Anyone can change the world,
just by helping one person at a time.
I would
like to encourage you to visit these sites (check them out, verify
what you see) and to give to one or both of the following organizations
as your heart leads you.
Feed
The Children - FeedTheChildren.Org
World
Vision - WorldVision.Org
You
can also help in your own community by becoming a mentor to a young
person. You can teach them, encourage them and enable young people
to have better futures. You'll be surprised at how much you've learned
in your lifetime and how someone else can benefit from your valuable
experience.
If
one single thing you share spares a young person from making a mistake
(sometimes a tragic one), then you will have made a difference and
you will have helped to shape the future.
Believe
in yourself and others.
Have a
great day!!!
